Fish Out of Water

-Sengkang Punggol FC Fans' Perspective-

Gombak United vs Sengkang Punggol : Pre-match

Gombak is still in the midst of an indifferent form this season.
Capable of slaying the giants (SAFFC, Home United, Etoile and holding Tampines) but constantly falling to the minnows (Balestier, Beijing and ourselves).

I am certain the head coach for the Bulls, Darren Stewart will want to alter the statistics on Thursday when they entertained the Dolphins in their own backyard where they only lost once this season.

That uber-exciting 3-3 draw last Friday against Tampines showed that Gombak can play to win if they want to as defenders Obadin and Bah Mamadou look very good assisting in attack while national team strikers Fazrul Nawaz and Agu Casmir both hitting the back of the net in that game and will intend to maintain the momentum.

Defensively the Bulls are still sound though lack of concentration during corner kick hurt them badly, then again likewise to Tampines at the other end that day.

The Bulls will be looking to exorcise their own demon against us after losing twice already this year, both them they were let down by the dismissal of one player, similarly in their 1-0 loss at home to Balestier Khalsa.
If they could keep their men on the pitch for 90 minutes, they would prove to be a dangerous preposition.
With Goran Subara and Ridhuan Jamaluddin back from suspension, their midfield would be well beefed up.

Our side will also see the return of Shahir Hamzah and Mamadou Diallo from their own suspensions, but I am more anxious to see how the latter would work off a rejuvenated Ryan Fante.
Might be a hard game but a draw would not be a bad result.
